Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un to meet in Far East

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will meet in the Far East, RIA Novosti reports. According to the press secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov, delegations from both countries are going to take part in the negotiations. Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un will talk face to face. 

The heads of state will exchange views on the situation developing in the region and discuss various aspects of relations between the two countries. There are no plans for a press conference following the visit of the DPRK leader to Russia.

The Russian Foreign Ministry previously noted that one of the issues would be the provision of humanitarian assistance to the residents of North Korea.

According to North Korean media reports, Kim Jong-un left for Russia on an armored train on September, 10. Early in the morning of September, 12, Moscow time, he had already crossed the railway bridge over the Razdolnaya River in the Primorsky Territory and moved in a northerly direction.
