The Russian Foreign Ministry is very concerned over the outcome of the NATO summit, which ended the day before, on July, 12, in Vilnius. Most countries share this concern, the department noted. The NATO course, its actions and the strengthening of the military potential do not coincide with the existing tasks of creating a new world order. It is based on justice and is devoid of the artificially created division of countries into ''us and foes'', as well as on the recognition of the legitimate interests of sovereign states and their independence in choosing development paths.

Moscow once again emphasized that strategic security in the global world cannot be achieved without paying attention to the security of the other side. "Security can only be indivisible," the Foreign Ministry reminded. Brussels and Washington will not be able to turn the planet into a "NATO globe", Russian diplomats are convinced.

Russia will carefully study the results of the summit in the Lithuanian capital, the Foreign Ministry promised. When new challenges and threats are discovered that will face the country, the collective West will receive an appropriate response. In this case, all the tools and mechanisms available to Moscow will be involved. Russia will continue to strengthen the military organization and defense system of the country.

NATO is once again using Cold War methods to protect those they consider their own from the rest of humanity, dividing the world into "democracy and autocracy," the foreign ministry said.

According to diplomats, the collective West, headed by the United States, does not want to accept the formation of a multipolar world and is ready to use all means, including military ones, to maintain its own superiority. The ''rules-based order'' invented in the West is an unfounded desire to violate international law at will. All this leads to the inflating of conflicts, the destruction of states, rampant terrorism. As a result, millions of people suffer.

NATO called Russia the main threat to the security of the alliance, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. Turning everything upside down, the West is hypocritically accusing Moscow of undermining global energy and food security. Dreaming of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia, Washington and its vassals are increasing their military presence near the Russian borders, deploying strike weapons systems there and constantly conducting exercises with an emphasis on practicing offensive actions.

At the same time, Ukraine is destined for the role of a bargaining chip in the hybrid war unleashed by NATO with Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.
