The Russian MFA highly appreciated the work of the authorities of Egypt, Israel, Palestine and Qatar, who provided assistance in organizing evacuation measures.
The department assured that the Russian embassies in Cairo, Tel Aviv and Ramallah, relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other departments continue coordinated efforts to ensure that Russian citizens leave the conflict zone as quickly as possible.
Russia donated about 250 tons of humanitarian cargo for the residents of the Gaza Strip. According to the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, the department’s planes land at a military airfield in El-Arish, Egypt. On board they have both supplies stored in Rosrezerv and cargo collected in Russian regions. Those in need receive food, basic necessities and toiletries, warm clothes, and medicine.
