The number of applications to study at Russian universities from abroad remains impressive. More than 58,000 foreigners are willing to study in Russia in the next academic year under the government quota. RUDN, State and Polytechnic Universities in St. Petersburg, Kazan Federal University, Belgorod State National Research University are among the most sought after by foreigners.

Young people from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the CIS express constant interest in studying in Russia. Currently, about 350,000 students from abroad are studying in Russia.

The issue of adaptation of foreigners in Russia remains relevant. Vladimir Volokh, a member of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations, believes that knowledge of the Russian language plays an important role in the cultural acclimatization of foreigners.
