Seo Yeon Kim-Schroeder was fired from NRW.Global Business, where she served as a representative in South Korea, after attending a reception at the Russian Embassy on Victory Day, TASS reports.

The Ministry of Economy of the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia said that she would be fired immediately "without prior notice." The company noted that it had repeatedly warned Kim-Schroeder about the inadmissibility of public discussion of a number of political topics, including events that are taking place in Ukraine.

The Russian embassy organized a festive event on May, 9. Among its participants, in addition to the Schroeders, there were other German politicians, as well as diplomats from the CIS countries, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. The representative of China was also present. The event was attended by veterans, residents of besieged Leningrad, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, German public figures and journalists.

Gerhard Schroeder has been criticized more than once for having close contacts with Russia.
