Victory Day celebrated in Scandinavian countries

Motor races, flower-laying ceremonies at monuments, concerts and theatrical performances devoted to the Great Patriotic War were held in honor of Victory Day in the Scandinavian countries - Norway, Sweden, Finland, as well as in Denmark and Iceland, TASS reports.

In Denmark, the march of the Immortal Regiment, which was joined by 150-200 participants, and a motor rally were timed to coincide with the anniversary of the Victory. In Copenhagen, the participants were accompanied by the police, the events went smoothly.

In Aarhus, about 30 people took to the streets with portraits of relatives-front-line soldiers, a memorial service, a rally and a minute of silence in honor of the fallen heroes were also held. The participants of the campaign told those present about the biography and military path of their relatives.

In a number of cities in Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland, over the course of several May days, flowers and wreaths were laid at the burial places of Red Army soldiers. The embassies and consulates of Russia in the Scandinavian countries hosted events in honor of the anniversary of the Victory.
