The test on the history of the Great Patriotic War takes place on Thursday, December 3. It was timed to coincide with the Day of the Unknown Soldier, according to the website of the Immortal Regiment.

The test is part of the "Big History" international project, which combines actions and events dedicated to preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Another important task is the dissemination of historical knowledge. The organizer is the Youth Parliament under the State Duma. The action aims to improve the knowledge of Russian youth about the facts related to the Great Patriotic War and to awaken interest in the history of Russia. In addition, its organizers strive to bring the test to the international level, since in relation to the Second World War, Russia has a common history with many countries.

More than 25,000 sites will be avialable for the test participants.  The project's website will provide the online version as well. Residents of Great Britain, USA, Armenia, Israel, Denmark and other countries will take part in the action.

The test consists of 30 questions. They will cover military operations, life in the rear, culture, technology, partisan movement, pioneer heroes. There will be a fairly large number of questions that will be devoted to the biographies of people and their exploits.

The test is annually joined by politicians, statesmen, parliamentarians, athletes, cultural and scientific workers. Last year, the action was held in more than 50 countries. About 800,000 people answered questions.

Also today, the premiere screening of a film about the unknown soldier is planned. It was prepared by the Youth Parliament. A picture of the history of the symbol's appearance can be seen on YouTube.
