Fewer specialists are leaving Russia nowadays, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated. According to him, the rate of "brain drain" has noticeably decreased, the Kommersant newspaper writes. He recalled that for the most part people go to work where they can earn more. Therefore, professionals need such conditions so that they remain in Russia.

The head of state said that a large-scale system of grant support should be created in the country. It covers not only the IT industry, but also other areas of high technology. And this system brings remarkable results, many experts are already returning, people come from other countries.

The Russian leader pointed to two options for resolving the brain drain problem. One way is, as it was during the USSR, to is impose obligations and prohibitions. The second way is to create better conditions.

Large Russian companies such as Mail.ru Group and Yandex appeared in the country. They are in serious competition to large international companies, the president said. “This is also a sign that development is ongoing,” added Vladimir Putin.
