St. Petersburg Youth Theater brought its best performances to Germany

The Russian Youth Theater from St. Petersburg presented to the German public the performances The Wizard of the Emerald City and Poor Lisa, which are considered the hallmarks of the theater. The tour took place as part of the Russian Seasons international cultural project, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

Tours of the Youth Theater opened in Hamburg with a musical tale for children, staged according to the book of the Soviet writer Alexander Volkov. The Wizard of the Emerald City is very popular among Russian viewers and abroad. The performance was seen by young viewers from the regions of Russia, as well as from China, Cyprus, the CIS countries and the Baltic states.

The German viewers enjoyed Poor Lisa musicle, created by the famous director Mark Rozovsky. The performance combines the best traditions of Russian literary and theatrical classics. 

St. Petersburg Youth Theater is one of the oldest in Russia, in three years it will mark its centenary. The theater often goes on tour and is well known to theatergoers from Europe and Asia.

The Russian Seasons project takes place throughout Germany in 2019. The project program includes over four hundred events - exhibitions, performances, concerts and festivals.
