Museums of the Moscow Kremlin have brought a unique exhibition to Beijing, RIA Novosti reports. An exhibition entitled Ceremonies of the Russian Imperial Court is located in the Gugun Museum Complex, which is called the Forbidden City.

The era of prosperity of China in the XVIII century exhibition. More than a hundred exhibits delivered from the Chinese capital reflected the ceremony of accession to the throne of the Qing Dynasty emperors, their everyday life and special occasions.

Both exhibitions are dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, which is celebrated in 2019.

Russkiy Mir reported that it is the first time when the most interesting Kremlin collection is exhibited abroad. The exhibition tells about the coronation in the Kremlin in the XVIII-XIX centuries.

The visitors will be able to see one and a half hundred exhibits. Among them are works by engravers, photographers, jewelers, weavers, tailors, artists and many others who took orders from the imperial court. State regalia, vestments for the coronation, the decoration of ceremonial trips - all this allows the audience to feel the spirit of the court celebrations of the Russian Empire.

Among the exhibits are coronation uniforms and portraits of Alexander II and Alexander III, a trellis portrait of Peter I. The exposition presents watercolor images of the state regalia stored in the Armory, the scepter and the ball of the first representative of the Romanov dynasty, Tsar Mikhail Fedorovich and the crown of Empress Anna Ioannovna.

Some state regalia of exceptional cultural and historical value remained in Russia. They, as symbols of power, are not legally exported abroad.

The Russian ambassador Andrey Denisov expressed hope that the exhibition would help the people of China learn more about the history and culture of Russia. He has no doubt that the celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations will bring the nations of the two countries even closer together and fill up wide humanitarian cooperation with new content.
