Rights on Russian films acquired by dozens foreign distributors

The Marché du Film has opened in the frames of the Cannes festival. International film market presented dozens of Russian movies produced by 17 film companies which were sold all over the world, Rossiiskaya Gazeta reported. Cinema producers, movie distributors and private TV channels from more than 30 countries have aqcuired screening rights of the Buka animation by Georgy Gitis. The animation is is about the life of the creature named Buka who lives in a forest. Buka is a Russian folklore character. 

Made in Russia stand was opened at the Marché du Film. According to journalists, the Russian cinema was never introduced in such big numbers at the prestigious world forum. Leading directors, actors, producers participated in presentations and meetings. 

The main goal of the  Marché du Film is to reach agreements on Russian movies  international distribution. The Billion thriller with leading actor Vladimir Mashkov is to be screened in China, France, Turkey and other countries. Apart of that, the feature is already on view in Germany, Bulgaria and Baltic countries. 

Director and producer Fedor Bondarchuk has presented new science fiction Invasion. The action of the film unfolds after the events described in the previous movie named Attraction.  Invasion isn't shot yet but the rights for screening were already bought by one of the major film distributor in Latin America. Negotiations on screening of the Ice-2 movie are being held with Germany, France, UK, Baltic countries. 

Shostakovich biopic by outstanding director Alexey Uchitel was also presented, among other highlights in Cannes with great success.
