More than two million people in China watched Russian films

More than two million people in China got acquainted with Russian cinema, according to the Ministry of Culture. They watched 12 movies by Russian directors that were included in the program of the Russian Film Festival (RFF). The festival was held online, the films were shown on the Youku platform. They were made available to the public.

The Attraction by Fyodor Bondarchuk interested Chinese viewers the most. About 800,000 people watched the story of how an alien plane fell on Moscow.

Defenders by Sarik Andreasyan became the second in popularity. The top three most popular films was closed by Nikolai Lebedev's Flight Crew.

The festival took place in July, and at the end of August RFF will reopen in China offline. Russian films will be seen in Beijing, Heihe and Suzhou. The audience will be presented with a program of six films.
