Parade of Russian theaters held in Copenhagen

The parade of Russian theaters started in the Danish capital on February 2, the website of the Association of Russian Theaters Abroad reports. 

The festival opened with the Him and Her. Provincial Tour play by the Israeli creative team ZERO, which won the Star of the Theater award and was recognized as the best Russian theater abroad. The performance is based on several Chekhov stories. 

The idea of ​​the festival belongs to Tatiana Derbeneva-Jacobsen, who heads the Dialogue Danish-Russian Theater. It is timed to the Year of the Theater, which 2019 was declared in Russia. 

Several chamber theaters from different countries participated in the parade. They will show short performances. Along with Israeli artists, Bulgarian and Hungarian artists will perform in Copenhagen. Performances by Russian-speaking groups from Turkish Kemer and Italian Turin are also expected. 

Russian theaters will join them. The Ulyanovsk Drama Theater will arrive in Denmark. Actress Vera Voronkova from Moscow Pushkin Theater will show her work. 

The organizers will not stand aside either. The audience will see a performance telling the story of the great Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff. Dialogue Theater promises a few more premieres.
