12 Russian-language theaters, dance and folklore groups from different countries will take part in the 5th Festival of Children's Creativity "Balaganchik", which will be held in Denia, Spain, June, 2-5, the website of the Moscow Compatriot House reports.

The organizers of the project received over 60 applications from various cities in Spain, as well as from Syria, Serbia, Ireland, Lithuania and Greece. The final list of participants included 12 children's creative teams.

The program includes performances, creative workshops, a parade through the city streets, exciting evenings, a joint final performance and many other events.

The head of the board of the Union of Organizations of Russian Compatriots of Spain and Andorra Svetlana Kartunova noted that the festival allows artistic children and teenagers who are engaged in Russian-speaking groups to meet and communicate in Russian, as well as study Russian culture.

She noted that the festival is aimed at educating young compatriots in the traditions of Russian culture, helping to preserve and improve the Russian language among children living abroad.
