Mireille Mathieu to perform in Kremlin Palace

Famous French singer Mireille Mathieu has promised to perform in Moscow Kremlin Palace next year, TASS reports.

Soon (next month) she will release a new album. Together with the symphony orchestra the singer recorded works of world classics such as Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Handel and others.

The new disc will be dedicated to the memory of the singer's mother who was very fond of Russian culture and the Russian language. Mireille Mathieu used to visit Russia with her several times.

The album will include a song in Russian. Words for the Mireille Mathieu's song My Darling Baby was written by the poet Mikhail Shabrov wrote song for Tchaikovsky's Concerto №1.

For the first time, the great actress visited Moscow in 1967 at the beginning of her singing career and since then she regularly performs in Russia. Almost every time Mireille Mathieu performs songs in Russian. In particular, she often sings My Moscow song at the concerts.

In France, the singer was twice awarded with the Legion of Honor Order. In Russia she got the Order of Friendship.

As long-standing tradition she recently came to Moscow to The Spasskaya Tower International Brass Band Music Festival.
