Russia is becoming a competitor in the world community, according to some countries, which makes them build up faulty politics of deterrence, as Vladimir Putin mentioned during the annual direct line.

Russian President has mentioned that at present there is a range of sanctions and restrictions imposed by the Western countries in relation to our country. However, Russian President has emphasized that the international partners start realizing that there is necessity to set up good relations with Russia. Putin hopes that this positive process is to develop in future.

In opinion of the Russian leader, constructive interaction with Russia would ensure exclusively positive effect on the world economics. Decisions made out of selfish motives would not bear fruit. Answering questions about setting up relations with the Western countries, Putin assured that the country would mildly and consistently protect its interests in the fields of economics and safety.

The way out of all the strained situations with a range of countries is finding a compromise and realizing that everybody should sit down and talk working out rules of conduct acceptable for all the parties.
