Kirill Vyshinsky renounces Ukrainian citizenship and seeks protection of Vladimir Putin

Kirill Vyshinsky sought protection of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to the journalist, he has renounced the Ukrainian citizenship and now sees himself as a Russian citizen only. He has claimed this today, on June 1, when his court appeal following his arrest was reviewed, TASS reports.

Vyshinsky requested to do the best to set him free as soon as possible and to provide him with diplomatic protection. News Agency Novosti Ukraine Editor-in-Chief demanded of Kiev to stop pursuing his family and peers. In his words, his elderly parents’ house was searched.

Journalist called his arrest a rough violation of human rights and drew attention of the Ukrainian public defender Lyudmila Denisova to the situation. He has underlined that his arrest was beneficial to Kiev’s regime turning him into a victim or an exchange subject. This is simply a state order. Overall, he called the Ukrainian Security Services’ special operation a violation of his rights and the rights of his colleagues and pleaded to leave them alone.

Foreign Ministry has already claimed that Russia would never leave the Russians in complicated circumstances and is ready to render help to Vyshinsky.

Note that in the early morning on May 15 News Agency RIA Novosti-Ukraine Editor-in-Chief Kirill Vyshinsky was roughly detained in the yard of his house. The Ukrainian authorities accuse him of the state treason and support of the Donbass Republic. At present, he is arrested. In case he is found guilty, the journalist would get up to 15 years of imprisonment. Besides, the agency offices were searched and the employees were interrogated for long hours.
