Ticket to the Future project to be launched for Russian high schoolers

Russian schools students now also can apply for grants, RIA Novosti reports. During The Mentor Forum in Moscow Russian President proposed the specialization program Ticket to the Future for high-schoolers.

The program will consist of three stages. In the frames of the first stage kids might express the interest on a local level. During the second stage, participants to be forwarded to participate in various activities at competence centers. After that some of them will be admitted to participate in the grant competition. The project aims to help teens to get practical skills in the chosen field while practicing in big companies.

One billon rubles (about $17,6 mln) would cover the realisation of this project. Vladimir Putin assured that money to be allocated, and promised to give corresponding order to the government. «It will be done in the closest future,» - commented Putin. According to the president the professional orientation has to be done as early as possible because most of the principal interests develop during childhood. He has added that this work could be conducted during WorldSkills International world championships.
