Pushkin society in America held a literary night in New York

Publicitātes attēliA literary night held by Pushkin society in America took place in New York, reports Russian US immigration website. The society’s members, Russian speaking poets and writers and also the American writers interested in Russian literature attended the event held in the hall of the American Writers Guild.

Society’s President Victoria Kurchenko welcomed the attendants and thanked them for their interest in the event.

The American poet Albert Rosenblatt read a few of his poems and said that he had been really interested in the Russian language recently. Uri Litvak also read an extract from his book, which had been published in US. Kozma Vostrikov talked about his latest novel that is going to be released on January 23, 2018.

A little concert also took place during the night. The saxophone player Roman Golovanov and other musicians performed for the guests.

Pushkin society in America was founded in 1935. The society holds meetings, exhibitions and other events inviting their countrymen to cooperation.
