Five Russian schoolkids won five gold medals at the International Physics Olympiad

RF Education and Science MinistryFive gold medals were received by all five Russian team participants at the 48th International Physics Olympiad in Jakarta, Indonesia, TASS reports. During several days teens had to solve very complicated problems. The results were estimated by international jury composed of recognised physicists.

Moscow school graduate Dmitry Plotnikov, 11th grader from St Petersburg Stanislav Krumsky, Perm high schooler Vasily Yugov, Republic Komi native Kirill Parshukov, and Voronezh graduate Sergey Vlasenko have went through the training at MIPT Moscow university before going to Indonesia. Russian Munister of Education and Science Olga Vasilieva has stressed that Russia has very strong Physics and Math traditions.

It’s worth mentioning that teens from 88 countries have participated in the Olympiad.
