The society was established by participants of the Convention of the Russian-speaking citizens in Germany, which took place in the city of Pulheim (North Rhein – Westphalia) at the beginning of June 2017.

The main purposes of the society are upholding of Russian-speaking Germans’ interests in national and international structures, standing up for unbiased news broadcasts in mass media, supporting a political dialogue with all layers of the civil society and sustaining mutual understanding and building international cooperation.

Zhanna Spitkovskaya and Reingold Graff were selected chairmen of the new society.
