13.06.2017

Presidential Administration of RussiaUnited States of America has been financing terrorists in the Chechen Republic. Russian President Vladimir Putin shared this information in the movie directed by Oliver Stone, RIA Novosti informs. The head of state has said that Americans did not conceal their political support of the terrorists, but apart from that, there was evidence of the financial aid too.

Putin remarked that some evidence was even sent to American colleagues. CIA answered that they were entitled to maintain relations with all oppositional forces and would continue doing that.

“It was crystal clear that it concerned terrorist structures and organizations, and not just oppositional forces. Nevertheless, they were seen just as opposition”, Putin underlined.

He has added that US should build relations with our country on equal terms instead of spending millions of dollars on defense. In his opinion, the most important value of Russia is people with their own perception and internal principles. He is assured that Russians cannot exist apart from its sovereignty and national identity. Russian President has emphasized that understanding these ideals and not just a threat of nuclear counterblow should make the Western partners realize necessity of regaining equal relations with Russia in a long-term perspective.

Russian leader has added that Washington actions resulted in appearance of terrorist groups, Al Qaeda, in particular. It all began when the Soviet people participated in Afghanistan war. US intelligence services used all possible means to support Islamic fundamentalism in its struggle against Soviet troops. It all gave rise to Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden too, Vladimir Putin explained.
