Saint Petersburg State University graduates from USA held first meeting

vksrs.com First meeting of Saint Petersburg State University graduates was held in the capital city of USA, as per website of International Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots lining abroad.

Graduates of Saint Petersburg State University and those who finished Leningrad State University came to Washington from different parts of the country. Heads of non-governmental institutions and members of higher-education teaching personnel of some US universities took part in the event too.

President of Graduates’ Association Andrey Yakunin opened the meeting with words of gratitude to guests for their readiness to meet and talk. He marked that at present the Association turned into a platform for socializing of graduates of different periods. It also enables to acquire new friends and professional connections.

Participants shared their reminiscences at the meeting. They agreed that they should support activities of the Association and arrange such meetings on a regular basis.

Russky Mir Foundation reported earlier about similar meetings. For example, a meeting of Soviet and Russian university graduates was held in Kathmandu, Nepal. The graduates celebrated the anniversary of Friends’ Club.
