War Films festival opens in Volgograd

Film festival Stalingrad Lilac opens today in Volgograd. More than 30 films dedicated to the WW2 made in Russia and abroad will be shown at the festival held for the fifth time.

New war detective about the siege of Leningrad Three Days till Spring will be shown during the opening ceremony. The leading actress Elena Lotova will conduct Q&A afterwords.

Some events of the program will extend to other citis of the region. Aside form the film screenings there will be meetings and round tables with local and foreign filmmakers. Well-know Russian actors Yuri Chernov, Andrey Martunov, Tamara Semina and director Nikolay Lebedev will be among the ho0nored guests of Stalingrad Lilac festival.
