Ukrainian nationalist to fire a grenade gun into Immortal Regiment participants in Kiev

Kiev police have neutralized one of the members of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. The radical fighter tried to threaten participants of the Immortal Regiment action with a grenade gun on 9th of May in Kiev, as per RIA Novosti.

Policemen had to lay siege to the office of this radical organization. They noticed that when the Immortal Regiment participants were gathering at the streets, a man dressed in camouflage appeared at one of the office’s windows. He aimed his grenade gun at the people below. A decision was made to neutralize the man. The search showed that the grenade gun was not loaded.

Totally, during Victory Day celebrations around fifty people were arrested, a half of them being in Kiev. It should be reminded that there was a scuffle between the march participants and Ukrainian nationalists in the Park of Eternal Glory near the Eternal Flame monument.

Clashes between participants of mass celebrations and so-called activists happened in Dnipro city. Fourteen people were injured; there were six policemen among them. Fifteen people more were captured. The police started a case under the article of Criminal Damage.
