Russian compatriots living in South America held the Immortal Regiment march in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Chili.

The Immortal Regiment march in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires took place for the third time,  ТАSS reports. The event attracted over 200 people despite the pouring rain. The people were signing wartime songs. Among the participants were Viktor Coronelli, the Russian Ambassador to Argentina, and his family, Vladimir Astapenko, Ambassador of Belarus, representatives of the Armenian community, the deputy Marcello Gernam Veksler and the members of the Legislature Juan Manuel Pinocco and Ramiro Ordoci.

In Sao Paolo, Brazil, the military ensemble performed the anthems of Russia and Brazil as well as the Farewell of Slavyanka. This year's event was the second. Due to the tense situation it was held in the territory of Russia' General Council. Among the participants were not only Russian compatriots but also local citizens introduced to the idea of the event. The participants walked in a row, made photos and had a tea party. All the guests tried buckwheat, stewed beef and 100 grams of alcohol.

In Mexico another event, the Wall of Memory was held in terms of the Immortal Regiment, TASS informs. Photos of the Ward War II participants were placed on the walls of RF Embassy in Mexico. About 150 participants came to pay their respect to those perished in the fight against fascism. The RF Ambassador said this is necessary to remind people about the great endeavor of those people.

In the Russian Orthodox Church in Santiago, there was a memorial service for the victims of the war. Then the participants marched from the church to the Ninja square. The participants gave out St. George's ribbons and badges with the Regiment's symbols. The Chileans were interested in hearing the war stories from the people who were on the verge of crying while telling about their dead relatives.
