Winners of XXIII All-Russian Film Festival Literature and Cinema were announced, as per Year of Literature website. According to the jury, the best movie is a documentary Forgotten Flights devoted to the life of poet Maximilliam Voloshin, which gained Grand Prix.
Sergei Solovyov with his movie KE-DY based on Paradise Found story by Andrey Gelasimov became the winner in nomination of the Best Production.
The jury chairman Andrey Ashpai has satisfactory remarked that it was pleasure to choose fiction and non-fiction equally, because, first of all, they were interested in finding a movie which could influence the audience very strongly. The jury members complemented Forgotten Flights movie and unanimously recognized it as a winner.
Aglaya Shilovskaya won in the nomination of the Best Actress. Cinema critics noted her inimitable natural character.
Sofichka movie by Kira Kovalenko made its debut at the film festival and captured the jury’s attention. It revealed the spirit and content of Fazil Iskander’s novel on the screen.
More than fourteen thousand spectators attended the festival. Twenty creative meetings, twelve film exhibitions, two retrospectives and five specialized screenings were organized as a part of the film festival.
