Russian film festival takes place in Benin

Residents of Benin will get acquainted with the works of Russian directors, TASS reports. A Russian film festival began in Cotonou. The screening of Nikolai Khomerik's action drama Icebreaker was a great success. It became the opening film of the festival. Among the spectators were diplomats, businessmen, and cultural figures. They were joined by graduates of Russian and Soviet universities, as well as Russian compatriots.

The festival program also included the action movie ''22 Minutes'' directed by Vasily Serikov, and the classical Soviet adventure film ''The Elusive Avengers'' by Edmond Keosayan. Children watched Masha and the Bear series, which is very popular all over the world.

A tea party and tasting of traditional Russian cuisine were also organized for the guests.
