The jubilee concert of Atlanta Balalaika Society – an orchestra of Russian folk instruments with children’s folk group Kalinka from Russian School #1 in Atlanta (USA) performing – took place on September 24. Starting on September 24 in Germany is one of the most significant cultural events of the Russian abroad – Russkiy Stil festival – where prize and diploma winners of the eponymous literary contest will participate and a yearbook of their works will be presented. The contest aims at the search of most remarkable works of literature in the Russian language and new talented authors both in Russia and abroad as well as at the promotion of contemporary Russian literature in Europe. This was the most event-rich Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) in its entire history of 37 years.
