Russia will gradually introduce the ''BRICS culture'' into world politics due to the growing number of countries wishing to become part of the BRICS association. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

The Foreign Minister stressed that currently 27 countries are in line, waiting for ''at least the status of a partner state'' of BRICS. The minister noted that it is not possible to bring all willing states into the union in the near future.

Currently, the association includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa; in the past year, 23 countries announced their intention to join BRICS.

From the beginning of the new year, the association will double in size; at the summit in South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Argentina, Egypt and Ethiopia received an official invitation to join BRICS.
