Over the three quarters of 2023, the number of resettlers from unfriendly Western countries to Russia exceeded 700 people. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that interest in repatriation is constantly growing, TASS reports.

The MFA's spokesperson Maria Zakharova is sure that the country's authorities will continue to do everything possible to ensure that their compatriots return to Russia. The obstacles created by the unfriendly West cannot affect this. In these countries, anti-Russian policies lead to a noticeably worsening situation for the Russian-speaking diaspora. Therefore, compatriots take the opportunity to leave for Russia. The move is accompanied by many problems that have arisen as a result of restrictions imposed by the European Union.

About 45,000 residents of unfriendly countries would like to move to Russia, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development said. Of these, about two-thirds are from European countries, and another quarter are from the United States, Canada and Australia.
