The Immortal Regiment campaign will take place in eight Argentinean provinces, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of the Coordinating Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots of Argentina, head of the Russian Center at the University of Buenos Aires Silvana Yarmolyuk, the campaign will unite the cities of Obera, Rosario, Mar del Plata, Parana, Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, Ushuaia and Buenos Aires .

All of these cities represent different regions of Argentina.

According to Elena Tsunaeva, co-chair of the movement's central headquarters, coordinators abroad have already begun to apply to get the permission to hold the campaign from local authorities. She noted that nothing can be said yet about how many states will join the campaign this year. Exact figures will be known closer to Victory Day.

There will be no traditional procession of the Immortal Regiment this year in Russia. A number of regions, including the Republic of Crimea, refused to hold the procession due to possible threats. However, the organizers note that alternative events dedicated to the memory of the Great Patriotic War will be held in the regions.
