Russian film festival opens in Milan

The Russian film festival begins on September 23 in Milan, the website of the Ministry of Culture reports. The Bottomless Bag was chosen as the opening film. It will be presented to the audience by the director Rustam Hamdamov.

The festival program includes the crime drama by Alexander Hunt How Vitka Garlic Drove Lehu Pin to the House of the Disabled and one of the comedies of the famous Russian director Eldar Ryazanov - The Incredible Adventures of Italians in Russia, shot by Soviet and Italian filmmakers.

The program will also include two features of the Vertical film studio. One of them is the black-and-white WEEKEND – a detective story by another classic of Russian cinema Stanislav Govorukhin, the other is The End of the Season – a thriller by Konstantin Khudyakov.

The festival will move to Turin after Milan. The audience will be shown The End of Season and WEEKEND at the National Museum of Cinema, as well as Legend No. 17 - Nikolai Lebedev’s sports drama dedicated to Valery Kharlamov? – and Alexandra Strelyanaya’s new feature Port.
