Large-scale Russian film festival kicks off in China

Residents of three Chinese cities have the opportunity to see the best Russian films of recent years as part of the Russian Film Festival, which started on Sunday, August, 27, and will last until September, 3, according to the website of the Russian Ministry of Culture.

The festival is organized by ROSKINO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Culture and the China Film Art Research Center. For the first time, film screenings will take place in three Chinese cities: Beijing, Heihe and Suzhou.

As part of the current film review, the audience is invited to watch six films in a live format, including dramas, films about sports and movies telling about life in modern Russia.

The first screenings took place in Heihe, they are held free of charge. 

The creators of Russian films are scheduled to visit China, where they will meet with the audience and local media, as well as representatives of the Chinese film industry. Cooperation issues will be discussed with them.
