Russian diplomats called a ban on Sedov sail training ship entry into the Estonian territorial waters “an unfriendly act”, ERR portal reports.

Tallinn based their decision on the fact that cadets of the Kerch State Marine Technological University are on board of the sailboat. Estonian Foreign Ministry said that the permission to visit the country is contrary to the policy of non-recognition of the "annexation" of Crimea. Tallinn called so the entry of Crimea into Russia.

STS Sedov was supposed to enter the Estonian waters on April 13. It should be recalled that Head of state Kersti Kaljulaid is going to Moscow in a few days, where Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to accept her.

Estonian special services had previously accused domestic civilian vessels of acting on the orders of Russian intelligence. In addition, Baltic republic stated that large sailing vessels are engaged in propaganda activities.

Sedov is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest training sailboat in the world. It visited Estonian capital last September and was well greeted by the residents and guests of Tallinn.

Note, cadets practice on sailing ships, and the main navigation areas are Baltic, North and Mediterranean seas.
