Irkutsk researchers shooting Baikal educational documentaries

Irkutsk State University researchers start realising new educational project, IA Babr24 reports. It is planned that the project will be recognised internationally.  

The experts are working on series of popular scientific films. The main topic is the Baikal lake, along with its inhabitants and oppurtunities of unique lake's ecosystem they can use. 

According to the Head of the university Maksim Timofeev, the project will present the famous lake from the biotechnological potential point of view. Each series last not more than 10 minutes. They are targeting worldwide audience, made in English language with Russian subtitles. 

One of three short documentaries is already posted on the Russia Beyond webpage.

Russia Beyond differs from other national tv multilingual publication for foreign audience because it tells only about Russa, its culture, literature, share science, technology and  social life news.
