The second updated edition of the Emigrants from Russia in Zagreb: Life and Fate book was presented in the State Archives of Croatia. There was a presentation of Russian Necropolis of Zagreb online resource. The book and the website will help the descendants of Russians in Croatia learn more about their relatives who left their homeland in the post-revolutionary years, and find their burial places, the website of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad reports.

The authors of the book are descendant of emigrants Tatiana Pushkadiya-Rybkina and historian Inna Grubmayer. The Embassy of Russia in Croatia and Rossotrudnichestvo assisted the publication. Russian Ambassador Anvar Azimov, descendants of emigrating Russians, scientists and other representatives of Croatian public participated in the presentation.

The value of a book about life of Russians in Croatia from 1919 to 1926 and their contribution to culture, science, education and economics is not limited to helping to find relatives. The publication reveals the striking fate of Russian people and families, makes them take a new look at the history of Russian post-revolutionary emigration, and tells about the relationship between the peoples of Russia and Croatia in 20th century.

Professor of Zagreb University Konstantin Chalyshev, Professor of Mathematics Boris Apsen, ballet dancer of the leading theater of Croatia Olga Orlova and other prominent personalities who are well-known to modern Croatians became the heroes of the book. It will be translated into Croatian language and posted on the Internet soon.

Russian Necropolis of Zagreb tells about Russian graves and monuments of the capital of Croatia with help of documents and photographs.
