US President Donald Trump called «Alexander the Great» ice hockey winger Alexander Ovechkin, RT TV Channel reported. 

The Head of the State received the Washington Capitals club in the White House. The crew won Stanley Cup and became NHL Champion for the first time. Ovechkin is the captain of the Washington Capitals

Let us remember, Washington Capitals club ice hockey winger Alexander Ovechkin scored 1180 points in his career in National Hockey League (NHL) and became the most productive Russian hockey player in history of the league. Alexander Ovechkin won gold medals in the world championships three times. Last season, the forward won the Stanley Cup, the main prize of NHL for the first time.
