US President Donald Trump has promised to help Russia with mechanical ventilation devices, when the Americans will start their own production of equipment used to treat patients with severe coronavirus infection. Earlier, Russia sent humanitarian aid to the United States to help combat the coronavirus, according to RIA Novosti.

The American leader made a statement of readiness to provide Russia with mechanical ventilation devices during a press conference. Trump stressed that the United States can also provide assistance to Italy, Spain, France and other countries. Earlier, the US president called on a number of American companies to begin mass production of mechanical ventilation devices using the wartime law.

The spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that earlier Trump made the same proposal during a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, RT reports. According to Peskov, Moscow will take advantage of “such a kind offer” if necessary.

Russkiy Mir reported that in early April, a Russian plane delivered medical and protective equipment to New York. The humanitarian cargo flight took place after a telephone conversation between the two presidents.
