Russia takes part in Belgrade Book Fair

More than 200 Russian books participate in the International Belgrade Book Fair that opened on October, 21, RIA Novosti reports. Russian and Serbian-language literature, reissues of Russian classics, contemporary pieces are presented. All books brought to the expo to be handed to the Russian Center of Culture and Science and library of  Belgrade.

According to the head of the Moscow International Book Fair Sergey Kaikin, Russian books always call success in Belgrade. Russian stand events are also very popular. Russian authors are increasingly recognized  by Serbian publishers and translators, and contacts with Russian publishers are being actively made, noted Sergey Kaikin.

Belgrade University and Novi Sad city to host Belgrade Book Fair as well.
Famous Russia's writers are present at the expo, such as Alexey Varlamov, Lev Danilkin, Eugeny Lukin. Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky presented to readers War. USSR Myths 1939 — 1945 book. Another Russian politician, Senator from Perm Krai Aleksey Pushkov brought to the fair his book on the history of chess called Global Chess. Russian Game.
