Russian MFA: The U.S. have to return all seized Russian property compounds

26.04.2018

The U.S. have to return all seized Russian property compounds, claimed official representative of the Foreign MFA Maria Zakharova, TASS reports.

“We demand the return of all six facilities of Russian property seized by the US. It is a gross violation of basic international rules of law,” Zakharova said.

Let us remember, American authorities intruded the Consulate General in Seattle and entered the building the previous day. Zakharova has called this “the raider attack.” Russian Ambassador to US Anatoly Antonov called Washington’s behavior an unfriendly step directed against Russia. The Embassy has reminded that Moscow did not give its consent on cancellation of inviolability of its property in Seattle and accused US of violation of international and national legislations.

The Consulate General in Seattle stopped working on April 2, as requested by the American authorities. Employees have been gathering belongings and documents and preparing the premises for the temporary shutdown.
