Russia expels EU diplomats

30.03.2018

Russian MFA

Moscow took the decision to expel diplomats of several European countries, RIA Novosti reports. This retaliatory measure following the expulsion of Russian diplomats over the Skripal case.

As a result of this tit-for-tat retaliation, four representatives of Germany and Poland, three diplomats from Lithuania and Czech Republic, two from Netherlands and Italy, one representative for Latvia, Finland, Sweden, and the military attache of Estonia have to leave our country.

Apart of that, 13 Ukrainian diplomats were declared to be personae non grata.

Few days ago Russian authorities demanded the UK to cut their diplomatic stuff in Russia. As MFA claimed, the number of Russia's intelligence officers in the UK has to be equal to the number of Britain's representatives in Russia.
