Sheremetyevo airport opens Immortal Regiment of the World photo exhibition

Sheremetyevo Moscow international airport (terminal E) has opened a photo exhibition named The Immortal Regiment of the World today, on April 19. It was prepared by the regional patriotic organization The Immortal Regiment – Moscow and supported by the organizing committee preparing international march “The Immortal Regiment”.

All passengers of Sheremetyevo will be able to contemplate unique photos of foreign delegations taking part in The Immortal Regiment marches in Moscow at different years. The exhibition is dedicated to the people’s project of identification of the missing Motherland defenders’ fates.

Russkiy Mir has been a partner of The Immortal Regiment – Moscow organization and The Immortal Regiment of Russia social movement for many years. Deputy Executive Director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Sergei Shurygin made a speech at the opening ceremony. “The Immortal Regiment joins Russians who value memories of their relatives and friends perished during WWII. The Immortal Regiment joins the whole Russian World too, he said in the course of his speech. “People stirred the feeling of unity with their ancestors and compatriots…. The uniting force of the Immortal Regiment becomes a reality. Photographs placed at the exhibition, which we open today, reflect this force better than any words joining people of different ages, generations, nationalities and religions.”

Elena Kalgina, representing The Immortal Regiment – Moscow organization talked about opening the photo exhibition and about searching for the missing WWII soldiers by the All-Russian social movement The Immortal Regiment of Russia.

The exhibition in Sheremetyevo will last until May 19, 2018.
