IOC prohibits using Cyrillic’s on Russian sportsmen uniforms

23.12.2017

IOC allowed only two signs in English on the Russian sportsmen outfit, RBK reports.

The sportsmen allowed to participate in the Pyeongchang Olympics will have a sign Olympic Athlete from Russia or its abbreviation OAR. The committee stressed that the fond must be the same for the whole sign. The word Russia must not be highlighted.

IOC voiced over 10 requirements to Russia and the sportsmen. They are forbidden to use the flag, the national emblem and the logo of the Russian Olympic Committee. These limitations also refer to the coaches and the authorities coming to Pyeongchang. Besides, the color of the sportsmen’s uniform should not combine into the Russian flag. Only one or two of the colors are allowed.

It is worth reminding that our sportsmen agreed to participate in the Olympics under the neutral flag and now they are expecting the invitation to the Games.
