10 Russian features to be shown at the Tallinn Black Nights festival

pixabay.comRecent features of Russian directors to be screened in the frames Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. One of the most famous festivals in the Northern Europe will open on Friday, November 16, err.rr portal reports.

About 20 films will compete for the grand prix. Most of them to be shown for the very first time.

In total the vast film program includes features from 70 countries. Among them are Russian movies, such as Gogol. The Beginning by Egor Baranov, TV Series Chernobyl: Zona otchuzhdeniyaby Anders Banke and Pavel Kostomarov, The Ice Hole by Andrey Silvestrov.

Sensational drama already awarded several prestigious prizes — Loveless by Andrey Zvyagintsev promises to be favorite of the program.

Estonians will see debut film Closeness by young Russian director Kantemir Balagov that has already received several awards, two just recently at the 58th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The other 2017 favourites, Arrhythmia film by Boris Khlebnikov and Thawed Karp by Vladimir Kott are going to be in the festival-s programme.

Great Britain, France, Belgium films to be shown with Russian subtitles.
