TASS reported that over the course of nearly ten years, the Russian-Cuban Center has trained more than a thousand firefighters and rescuers. During a recent working trip to Cuba, a delegation from the Russian Emergencies Ministry visited the center. It's representative Roman Okhotenko have mentioned that the training center for fire and rescue specialists was established on the island in 2014.

Over the past decade, the Russian-Cuban Center has organized nearly a hundred specialized courses and master classes for Cubans, with Russian specialists sharing their valuable experience, practical knowledge, and expertise. The center has become a hub for learning not only for Cubans but also for representatives from other Latin American and Caribbean countries who come to study and benefit from the shared knowledge and skills.

The Russian delegation brought new spare parts for equipment and simulators to enhance the capabilities of the center. The Ministry of Emergency Situations expressed its commitment to further developing the center. In 2023, the Russian-Cuban center received additional equipment, including foam extinguishing vehicles, airfield firefighting equipment, and tanker trucks.

It's worth mentioning that over 200 Cuban fire safety specialists have received education in universities affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
