Memorial plate erected in memory of Soviet soldiers in North Korea

The memory of Soviet soldiers was immortalized in North Korea, RIA Novosti reports. A memorial plaque appeared on the mass grave of four soldiers, the burial is located in Uiju County. The ceremony of establishing the monument was timed to the anniversary of the liberation of Korea.

So far, there is the name of only one fighter on the stove - foreman Vasily Andreevich Isupov. Now work continues on establishing the names of the remaining heroes.

Assistance in the installation of the memorial stone was provided by the People's Committee of North Pyongan Province.

Russian Ambassador to the DPRK Alexander Matsegora also laid flowers at the mass grave of Soviet soldiers in Wonsan and at the memorial complex in Hamhung. Russian diplomats honored the memory of Soviet soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Korea in Nampo and Sinuiju, in the counties of Tonrim and Uiju.
