Residents of Narva continue to carry flowers to the places where a year ago there were Soviet monuments in honor of the soldiers-liberators. The monuments were demolished at the behest of the Estonian authorities, despite the disagreement of local residents and the city authorities. Earlier, the city was banned from celebrating the day of the liberation of Narva from Nazi invaders, the Baltnews telegram channel reports.

Currently, public gatherings are prohibited in Narva, but city residents come with flowers to the places where the monuments were erected, one or two at a time. There are constantly fresh flowers and burning candles on the sites where monuments to the T-34 tank and the Hero of the Soviet Union Igor Grafov were erected.

The city annually celebrated the day of the liberation of Narva from the Nazis, but this time the events were banned under the threat of fines and detentions. Nevertheless, the residents visited the places where the boards in memory of Soviet soldiers and officers were previously located, and brought bouquets there.
