Russian art brought to China through online exhibition

The Association of Chinese and Russian Art Universities has organized an online exhibition and a concert of Russian and Chinese contemporary visual and musical art, Xinhua reports.

The exhibition entitled "Brilliant Civilization, Inseparable Friendship" presents 120 artworks, including the works of prominent Russian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli. Chinese art is represented by nearly 80 canvases from eight art institutes.

During the concert, the musicians performed nine works by Russian composers, including Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and works by Chinese composers.

The event was initiated by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education of China.
