18.11.2020

Today, November 18, is birthday of Russia’s Ded Moroz, or Father Frost, the Slavic version of Santa Claus.

Ded Moroz from Veliky Ustyug will take part in New Year online events that are being prepared for young Russian compatriots from around the globe. In the frames of the first on-air live event guests can make a virtual walk on the Ded Moroz' property, reports Association of Russian Theater Abroad leaders.

The director of Aprelic Children’s Theater in Paris  Ludmila Drobich has stated that Russia’s Ded Moroz will make congratulations to young compatriots. Some other surprises and on-air sessions are going to be supported by the Vologda Oblast administration, where Veliky Ustyug is located.

According to Mrs. Drobich there are many Russian communities around the world who want to join the action. This deed will create happy New Year vibe at the outcome of the difficult year.

It's worth mentioning that Russian compatriots' organizations in Spain and Andorra have prepared a vast program of the New Year and Christmas online events. Among them are online festival of Decorative Arts, Blue Light concert and many other activities.
